Mark Kostabi is a painter best known for work that depicts faceless figures in Surrealist-inspired settings. Born in Los Angeles, he studied painting and drawing at California State University, Fullerton, before moving to New York in 1981. Some recurring themes in his work include alienation, corporate greed, and the contemporary production of art. Kostabi’s popularity can be seen through his numerous product designs including album covers for the bands Guns ‘N’ Roses and The Ramones.His work is held in several museum collections, including The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Paul Indrek Kostabi (1962)
Paul Indrek Kostabi was born in Whittier California on October 1, 1962. He is an acclaimed artists, musician, music producer and audio engineer. Paul is the brother of artist Mark Kostabi. All the works of Paul Kostabi are in fact expressionist self-portraits, in which he tries to express his fears. The paintings of Paul Indrek Kostabi are present in the permanent collection of the Guggenheim Museum, New York.
